1964 Mr.S.Burton commenced motor vehicle repair operation at Mappleton
East Yorkshire (Taking over an already established workshops) .
The Vauxhall franchise was subsequently obtained. His 2 sons (Graham and John) were brought into the Company as they completed schooling.
1982 Mr. Burton (Snr) retires handing over control to the brothers.
1984 Flinton (Sproatley) site purchased . The former tractor/agricultural machinery sales and repair operation being replaced by used cars .
1986 The Rover franchise obtained for Sproatley .
1995 The Proton franchise obtained for Sproatley .
1997 The Perodua franchise obtained for Sproatley .
1998 The Daihatsu franchise obtained for Sproatley .
2000 Philip. Burton (son of John Burton) becomes third generation of family to join family business.
2007 Mappleton becomes satellite for Proton .
2008 Daihatsu regional dealer of the year Award Winners
2008 Maple LPG system adapted by Proton for the Ecologic range
