Meet The Team

Phil is part of the Burton family who founded Maple Garage in 1963, and is third generation from his Grand Father who moved over from the Selby area when he first opened the garage. Phil is very much a family man and enjoys spending time with his Wife and Son who has just started at Primary School this year. Naturally, Phil also has a passion for motor cars and has a small to medium collection on the go.

James’ interests in motorhomes, campervans and caravans are what initially started us in this industry. James did his work experience at Maple Garage all those years ago and started full time employment here pretty much straight after leaving college. Being an avid user of motorhomes himself along with his wife and two children, James can share experiences of camping trips and road trips with you. In his spare time you will find James tinkering with his rally car or out and about in a motorhome. “My favourite van is the Wildax Solaris XL, you will be pushed to find the perfect vehicle but the Solaris ticks most of the boxes for me and my needs. It’s great to drive, easy to park and fits all four of us in comfortably. There is nothing better than sitting outside, under the canopy, BBQ sizzling away watching the sun set. My ‘go to’ place is Scotland, I love it up there, over the years we have pretty much seen all areas of Scotland and we still keep finding amazing places each time we visit.”

James started with Maple Garage in May 2018 after working at Volvo York as Sales Manager for 10 years. High levels of customer service and experience are just one of the most important parts of James’s role. Living in Malton North Yorkshire, James commutes through to Maple Garage each day driving his EV company car. Following his team Sheffield Wednesday and map navigation in rally cars are his main interests away from work.

Dan started for Maple Garage 24 years ago. Initially in car sales before he quickly migrated into service to be our Workshop Manager. In Dan’s spare time he can be found bringing up his young family or watching his beloved Man United.

Paul started at Maple Garage 25 years ago. Previously coming from a large dealer group. Paul has a very busy social life with friends and family, and also enjoys DIY around the house. Paul also enjoys Liverpool FC and rugby league.

Pete started at Maple Garage Mappleton 22 years ago as Service Manager moving over to Sproatley 3 years ago to take up the role as Warranty Co-ordinator. Pete enjoys cycling and listening to live music in his leisure time.

Andy started for Maple Garage as Service Adviser 25 years ago in June 1998. If you visit Maple Garage you will have every chance of meeting Andy as his desk is located in the middle of the showroom as soon as you walk through the door. Everyone knows Andy as he has been taking your service and MOT bookings for years and years.

Conrad started for Maple Garage in 1995 and has been in Sales all of his life. Every customer knows Conrad at Maple Garage having been there for 29 years. Conrad is a dog lover and a family man and will do anything for anybody given chance. Conrad was a Scout leader and Swimming club instructor for 10 years.

Josh was employed by Maple when he was 17 years old in 2012. Josh started as a trainee sales administrator working his way into the role of a full time sales executive within 3 years. Now with over 12 years sales experience, Josh is fully equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to present a customer experience to remember. Josh joined motorhome sales in April 2023 after watching closely for the last 5 years. Showing an interest over that time meant Josh had gained valuable product knowledge before making the transition from car sales. Josh also looks after all of our social media channels, website and photography / videography. In his spare time you will find Josh at the gym or using up his air miles visiting the US, his favourite place.

Harvey started for Maple Garage in April 2023 and is new to car sales but in that short time has settled well and has gained a lot of experience and product knowledge. Harvey came with very high levels of customer care having come from an Insurance Broker background. During the summer Harvey likes going coarse fishing and lives in Malton, North Yorkshire.

Martin started 10 years ago as our Accountant at Maple Garage having come from doing the same role at Brian Leighton Garages in Howden. Martin enjoys cycling in his spare time.
